COOPERSALE ROAD

Our brief was to create a modern and functional living space by transforming the existing basement into a media room, adding a rear kitchen extension, and extending the loft to create additional bedrooms. The vision was to craft a home that embraces contemporary design coupled with traditional materials and detailing to maximize space and enhance the overall living experience for the family.

Throughout the entire project, we collaborated closely with the homeowners, understanding their lifestyle, preferences, and design aspirations. Our team of experienced professionals ensured that the reconfiguration, renovation, and extensions were executed with the highest standards of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The project focuses on the basement, where we undertook extensive reconfiguration and renovation to convert it into a media room. By carefully assessing the existing space and considering the specific needs and preferences of the homeowners, we created a comfortable and immersive entertainment area. Natural light was brought in through the introduction of a new light well and the space was designed around a comfortable seating arrangements to ensure an optimal media experience.

In addition to the basement transformation, the project includes a rear extension with a green roof to extend the view of the garden from the upper floors. The extension created an open and inviting area, connecting the indoors with the outdoors. Whether it’s a spacious kitchen, a dining area, or a living room extension, the design prioritised functionality and a seamless flow between different areas of the house. Large glazed doors and rooflights were incorporated to flood the space with natural light and provide a visual connection to the outdoor landscape.

As well as reconfiguring the first floor to provide a spacious master bedroom and adjoining dressing room, the loft was extended to create an additional bedroom. Throughout the process, the design took into account the architectural integrity of the property, integrating the extension with the existing structure. Careful attention was given to natural light, ventilation, and insulation to create a comfortable and energy-efficient space.
